When and where are league games played?
Games will be played in Dan Felix Park in NW Tucson.

When and where are practices held?

Practice times and locations will be determined by the individual coaches. Coaches are encouraged to practice 1-2 times per week but it is up to their discretion. 

How long is the season?
Each season has a 7-game minimum plus single-elimination playoffs. 

What age division should my child play in?
6u Coed - Boys and girls born on/after August 1st, 2017.
8u Coed- Boys and girls born on/after August 1st, 2015.
10u Coed - Boys and girls born on/after August 1st, 2013.
12u Coed - Boys and girls born on/after August 1st, 2011.
14u Coed - Boys and girls born on/after August 1st, 2009.
12u Girls - Girls born on/after August 1st, 2011*
14u Girls - Girls born on/after August 1st, 2009.

*Girls born on/after August 1st, 2013 are encouraged to sign up for 12u Girls division but may also select the 10u Coed Division.

A player can never play down a division but may play up one division.
When registering your child, you will automatically be shown the division(s) your child is eligible to play in based on an August 1st age cutoff.

My child is new to flag football, is this league a good place to start?
Yes! League play is the perfect place to learn the game of flag football.

My child/team has competitive flag football experience, is this league a good place to continue their development?
Yes! For those teams/players interested in learning more about what it takes to play in NFL Flag Regional Tournaments, this league will help guide you. The league is operated by several experienced Tucson Turf Elite Football coaches with multiple NFL Flag Regional Tournament Championships that can help coaches, players, and teams looking to take the next step. 

How are teams formed? Can I register my own team?
Teams are formed based on friend or coach requests. Players without any friend or coach requests will be assigned to teams with similar characteristics, such as attending the same school, living in the same area of town or school district. 

How do I request a coach and/or friend for my child's team?
During registration, you are able to request coaches and friends. Please be sure to spell your coach/friend request names correctly.

How many players will be on each team?
Teams must have a minimum of 6 players and may have up to 10 players on their roster. If you need more than 10, please contact the league commissioners at [email protected] 

What does my child need to wear for games?
All players will need a mouthguard (not provided by Tucson NFL Flag).
Cleats are highly recommended for all age groups. 
An NFL Flag jersey and shorts will be provided and must be worn for every game.
A set of NFL Flags for each team will be provided to the coach of team.

What size football will be used?
6U - 8U: PeeWee
10U and above: Junior 

Is Tucson NFL Flag the only official NFL Flag league in Tucson?
As of now, Tucson NFL Flag is the only NFL Flag league with active upcoming seasons in Tucson. Utilize the NFL Flag site to find official NFL Flag leagues - https://nflflag.com/find-league. 

Do I have to play in an official NFL Flag league to be eligible to participate in NFL Flag Tournaments?
Yes. In order for a player to be on a roster of an NFL Flag Regional Tournament team, the player must play in an official NFL Flag League such as Tucson NFL Flag within the last 12 months. 

What is the league refund policy?
Tucson NFL Flag offers the refunds in accordance with the following:

Full registration fee refund if the request is made 3 weeks prior to the first game which is when uniforms are ordered.
50% registration fee refund if the request is made after uniforms are ordered and prior to the 2nd game of the season. (If you have doubleheader in the first week, then the 2nd game of the doubleheader is used as the refund deadline).
Any refund 
request submitted after the 2nd game of the season will be not be approved.
Service fees are non-refundable.

In the event that the Tucson NFL Flag season is cancelled prior to the 4th week of the season due to an unforeseen event, then a 50% registration fee refund will be processed. If the season is cancelled after the 4th week of the season due to an unforeseen event, no refund will be processed.
